Thanks to its view of the future, the Royal-Hamilius project is breathing new life into the heart of the city.
Everything has been rethought: creation of the pedestrian Place Hamilius in front of Hôtel des Postes, development of green spaces, opening of the Galeries Lafayette, the Fnac, shops, restaurants and a Delhaize Premium. A convivial, practical and enjoyable space! Everything can be easily reached by public transport plus there's a huge underground car park.
CODIC, in collaboration with the internationally renowned architectural firm Foster + Partners and Tetra Kayser Associés, have come up with future-oriented innovative architecture.
To offer citizens the high quality of life that characterises the capital, the city of Luxembourg has been renewing the infrastructures around Royal-Hamilius since October 2016, and transforming this urban space into a welcoming place to meet, by extending the existing pedestrian and commercial area: Grand-Rue, Rue Aldringen, Avenue Monterey, Rue Notre-Dame Place 'Um Piquet'.
